Studying Tokk’aano (Erosion) with Drones

Studying Tokk'aano with Drones Student Guide CoverThree standards-aligned, upper-elementary activities address the theme of erosion, and how drones are used for monitoring and hazard mitigation. Designed to pair with Drones in Alaska, the place-based lessons include a short video featuring local Alaskan knowledge-bearers and scenery from Alaska’s Interior. Activity-based assessments are provided. Lessons are in English with key vocabulary translated into Lower Koyukon Athabascan. An online Alaska Native Language tool is available to support language usage in the classroom.
