Łuk’a (Salmon) & Drones
Three standards-aligned, upper-elementary activities address salmon life cycles, migration and significance to local ecosystems and cultures. Designed to pair with Drones in Alaska, the lessons introduce drone technologies as applied to these topics. Features a 14-minute video with local knowledge and Interior Alaska scenes. Activity-based assessments are provided. Lessons are in English with key vocabulary translated into Lower Tanana Athabascan. An online Alaska Native Language tool is available to support language inclusion in the classroom.
